Relationship Application Guide

Thank you for choosing me as your future friend or romantic partner! This guide is to ensure that the application process to be one officially is as smooth as possible. Find the necessary steps below.

Friendship

Becoming a friend is the more streamlined process of the two. Simply visit the Friends section of my website, download the Friendship Application Form (id FFA1EN), fill it out and give me the printed version of it in person. If you are unable to do that, please send me the digital version via e-mail.

I understand that some questions may be considered too personal/intrusive by some. If you come across such a question, feel free to leave it unanswered; that said, the more information you provide to me, the better the means will be for me to contribute towards our friendship reaching its full potential. However, unless you have a major problem with it, I would like to kindly ask you to fill out the entirety of Section 1: General Information. These are questions I consider essential for our potential friendship.

Notes regarding filling the form out

• The form itself is set in a way where each question unit takes up the entire width of the page. If the question unit consists of more questions, the main question is always on the left, with the one on the right usually asking for clarification, specification or expanding on the original question. (The only exception to this is the DoB/gender line in Section 1. There, it is arranged this way as a space-saving measure / a way to use space more effectively.)

• Multiple-choice questions are divided into two types – single-select multiple choice (using radio “buttons” – i.e. circle shaped selectors) and multi-select multiple choice (using checkboxes – i.e. square shaped selectors). Please make sure to differentiate between these two to fill out the form correctly.

• If a yes/no question has one of its options followed by a colon (most notably used in Section 3: Motivation Assessment), you’re invited to expand on your answer in the space given below. Please use such chances as much as possible.

• As noted in the form itself, Section 5: Processing Record is not to be filled out by the applicant. Please leave this section blank when filling out the form.

• No sensitive information submitted as a part of this form will be released to 3rd parties without consent.

• If you’re filling this form out on paper, ask me for a pen, I’ll give you one (or more). :-)

After form submission

A notice informing the applicant about the result is to be expected in 30 days or less after submission. If possible, this will be done by means of a physical letter; if not, this notice will be delivered per email.

After receiving this notice, the parties can start drafting a Friendship Agreement. Provided to the applicant will be an agreement draft, which is then to be modified based on both parties’ comments until both parties are happy with the result. The friendship begins with both parties signing the agreement.

Romantic relationship

Since acquiring a new romantic partner is a process I don’t expect to and hope not to do often, there is no application form or rigid process for this. (Also, I imagine there’s quite a high chance that extensive bureaucratic processes would deterr all candidates, which I don’t want to happen.)
